WHAT IS DATA NOT DRUGS®?

DATA NOT DRUGS® is an app for consumers (athlete and non-athlete) based on a cutting-edge program that helped athletes win medals at the 2012 London Olympics during the peak of the Lance Armstrong drug crisis. It has since been adapted for use by anyone wanting sustainable health and fitness.

The program utilizes daily smartphone journaling in conjunction with fitness tracking sensors, big data analytics, and virtual coaching  to leverage the natural strength of our bodies.  
 

DO I NEED TO BE AN OLYMPIC ATHLETE?

The consumer version of this program has been created for anyone wanting sustainable health and fitness, athlete or non-athlete. Examples of our use cases include moms, creative professionals, physicians, writers, teachers, elite military, as well as athletes who competed in the 2012 Olympics and the 2016 Rio Olympics. 
 

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Until now, an evidence-based understanding of the lifestyle choices that lead to our best performances has been difficult to achieve in the real world, for each individual. 

The OAthlete program combines daily smartphone journaling with biometric sensors and big data analytics for new forms of personalized insights to create drug-free, sustainable health and fitness.
 

WHY NOT 'DATA AND DRUGS?'

While testosterone, human growth hormone, stimulants, antidepressants, and other drugs offer short term effectiveness, they fall short over time due to both the adaptive nature of our bodies, and side effects which are often treated with further medication.

In short, drugs weaken key systems in the body necessary to drive long-term high performance.  We believe that by naturally leveraging unique individual strengths, it is possible to surpass the long term performance of 'life doping' pharmaceuticals. 
 

WHAT IS THE APP?

The OAthlete smartphone app enables you to easily track your daily training and lifestyle choices, and provides actionable insights about what choices lead to higher performance for you as a unique individual. 
 

HOW CAN THIS BENEFIT MY PERSONAL TRAINER/DOCTOR/THERAPIST?

By tracking our most significant lifestyle choices, it assists a coach/trainer/therapist in understanding which factors are leading to your progress or lack thereof.  A vast majority of health and fitness journaling is limited to silos of step, sleep, and food tracking, and most app-based programs have not been built by high performers and tested at the highest levels. 
 

WHAT IS DONE WITH MY DATA?

The data you enter is private and de-identified. For OAthlete virtual coaching services, you can give us permission to utilize your data to give you feedback and insights for improved health and fitness. If your data is used outside of the system for research purposes, etc. your data is de-identified (made anonymous)
 

HOW DOES THIS DIFFER FROM APPLE HEALTH?

OAthlete is an active journaling system that develops daily awareness of key targets, whereas Apple Health passively tracks and reports users data.
 

WHAT DOES 'EARLY ACCESS' MEAN?

The OAthlete smartphone app is currently in ‘Alpha’ meaning this is an early version prior to public release and is being made available to select user groups including Olympic athletes currently in training, consumer groups, military special forces, and other select professionals.
